Practices and Impacts

• Management is focused on several approaches to environmental education for their staff and associated families. One approach involves engaging an educator to create lunch and learn programs focused on local environmental issues and/or species of concern. In 2022, the focus was on bats and their overall population declines. The company also provided participants with a bat house and related materials to be used in their homes.
• Another education activity implemented by the company involves employee participation in various environmental scavenger hunts. Each hunt revolves around a specific environmental theme, and participants use the scavenger hunt to learn about topics such as water, recycling, local species, etc.
