Practices and Impacts
- Using a combination of techniques such as cutting, mowing, prescribed burning and spraying for invasive species, the team manages the upland grassland habitat with the goal of benefiting native plant species and pollinators.
- A walking path through the grassland allows employees to explore and learn more about the habitat. Three days a week, employees walk the area and photograph the plants and pollinators on-site to monitor the health of the grassland.
- Weekly pollinator monitoring also results in a count of each species and its behaviors.
