About the Program
The FCA Dundee Engine Plant is a Stellantis powertrain facility that manufactures vehicle engines. The facility is located in southeast Michigan across 248 acres, 127 acres of which is managed as grassland habitat. The team manages the property to provide safe habitat to native species, along with environmental education opportunities to the community. In addition, the site partners with local community members and organizations to practice environmental stewardship and enhance the grassland for native plants and wildlife.

- One hundred percent native species are planted in the grassland, and team members maintain the habitat using annual chemical treatment and burning techniques. The habitat is monitored annually using plant abundance and diversity surveys to identify native and invasive species, along with wildlife.
