Toyota Motor Manufacturing Missouri is a manufacturing plant in Troy, Missouri, that focuses on building cylinder heads for straight-four engines built by Toyota. Several projects have been implemented to support biodiversity around the plant including the installation of bluebird houses and the creation of a small pollinator garden.

Practices and Impacts

• Staff and related maintenance workers were provided with an educational opportunity to learn about the importance of pollinators generally and monarch butterflies specifically. Depth of knowledge was evaluated before and after a short class focused on monarchs, their migration and the importance of habitat.
