About the Program
The Chester County Solid Waste Authority Lanchester Landfill is located in Narvon, Pennsylvania. The Chester County Commissioners established the Chester County Solid Waste Authority (CCSWA) in August 1984, and in September 1984, the CCSWA became owner and operator of the Lanchester Landfill, a 600-acre property located in Honey Brook, Salisbury and Caernarvon Townships that includes 160 acres of landfills. The Chester County Solid Waste Authority is working to support existing wildlife populations that utilize their on-site pond habitat by increasing habitat biodiversity of the ponds as well as promoting transitional habitats between existing forest stands and the ponds’ perimeters.
