The Marathon Garyville Refinery is in southeastern Louisiana, about 45 minutes west of New Orleans. The refinery is one of the largest in the United States. Marathon Petroleum Corporation is committed to environmental stewardship, including maintaining more than 1,300 acres of land across the U.S. The team at the Garyville Refinery has restored land to native prairie and created a pollinator garden.

Practices and Impacts
- In 2015, the team created a 2.5-acre pollinator garden to attract pollinators and maintain the native plant community. The team is engaged in weeding, planting, watering, monitoring and meetings. Monitoring data includes plants found in the garden and pollinator species observed.
