The Monroeville Business and Technology Center is a business center for PPG's coatings and materials which houses administration, research and manufacturing facilities. Situated in western Pennsylvania in Monroeville, only 17 miles east of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, this site also boasts 30 acres of forested habitat, 125 square feet of grassland habitat and 2,600 square meters of wetland habitat. This business has a strong corporate commitment to conservation and public education and engagement through its monarch butterfly project.

Practices and Impacts
- The monarch butterfly project aims to provide foraging and breeding habitat for monarchs through milkweed that is planted on site. This project also utilizes citizen science initiatives through it's Annual Butterfly Count, where the surrounding community can spend a day counting butterfly species on-site.
