Hatch Nuclear Plant, a part of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc., is located in Baxley, Georgia, approximately 90 miles west of Savannah. Unfortunately, habitat loss has impacted wildlife across the country, especially in unique habitats such as longleaf pine forests. To help address this issue, the team manages a nearly 2,000-acre native longleaf forest along with numerous efforts targeting the conservation of local species.
