Practices and Impacts
- The project maintains habitat for bobwhite quail by planting native grasses, removing invasive species, mowing S-shaped paths for protection from predators, connecting habitat and introducing new quail into the habitat. While quail were seldom seen or heard at the site previously, the project is successfully protecting and enhancing the population, and the team plans to continue monitoring to document population changes.
