Nesting Structure Challenge

The deadline for entries is November 1, 2024.

Rules:

  • Must build or renovate a structure for an avian species native to your area
  • Must have the proper dimensions and placement according to the species need you are building for
  • Must submit data to a citizen science platform (i.e. NestWatch, eBird)
  • Ideally have predator protections in place
  • Ideally have habitat enhancements (i.e. water sources, food sources)
  • Ideally do education or have education signage in regards to the structures and species

Winners will be chosen for each of the following:

  • Best Renovation
  • Best New Build
  • Best Songbird Structure
  • Best Raptor Structure
  • Best Waterfowl Structure
  • Best Other Structure
