Biodiversity, Climate Change and Industry: Understanding and Assessing the Intersections

View the webinar

The world is facing a dual crisis of biodiversity loss and climate change — two largescale risks with interconnected drivers and impacts. To better understand the intersections between biodiversity and climate change, and to implement solutions that will address both issues, the U.S. Geological Survey is developing a Biodiversity and Climate Change Assessment (BCCA).

During this invite-only webinar, members of the BCCA Guidance Committee and authors will discuss the role of industry in this assessment, including how the BCCA can support economic decision-making to address biodiversity loss. In addition to learning about the status of the BCCA, attendees can also offer feedback on the considerations of their specific industries to address the biodiversity and climate change issues identified in the BCCA.

What you’ll learn:

  • Background information on the creation and status of the BCCA
  • The connections between biodiversity and climate change and the solutions that work to address both concerns
  • The role that industry can play in supporting and utilizing the BCCA

Who should take this webinar:

  • Industry professionals working on biodiversity and/or climate change mitigation efforts
